The Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations receives few complaints alleging discrimination based on perceived or actual sexual orientation. An allegation against a city employee has raised questions about the scope of its powers.

Tory graduated from Indiana University in May with degrees in journalism and political science. While at IU, she served as the managing editor for her college paper, the Indiana Daily Student, where she developed a love for local journalism.
