There’s nothing that limits students to campus, but leaving that comfortable environment can be difficult. There are plenty of resources available to help students go beyond the gates of academia and get to know surrounding neighborhoods.
Briana Bindus
Briana Bindus, an editorial intern, is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a bachelor of philosophy in English literature and communications. She has always had a passion for writing, further arising in her positions as assistant news editor for The Pitt News and associate editor at The Fifth Floor. Coming from northeast Philadelphia, Briana is an East Coast native, hoping to live in New York one day with a career in editing and publishing. Her interests lie in empowering all voices, particularly those of marginalized communities, and analytically thinking about fundamental questions. If she isn’t writing, Briana can be found traveling to new places, with a book in her hand, or drinking bubble tea.
