I’ve teamed up with Pittsburgh’s Public Source (@publicsource) to show you hidden art gems in and around our city.

Hidden art gem – The Tomorrow Project: Aliquippa | ft. @gcollectiveart | mural by Guy Ruff (@guyruffart)

A group of five people pose in front of a large mural featuring three girls in dresses, outlined in red, painted on a concrete wall.

120+ hours of process from photo portraits, to life-sized sketched portraits, to a wheat paste mural.

What makes this a gem 💎: This gem is two-fold. On the front end, this is a necessary visual representation of youth empowerment for a community that is often overlooked. On the back end, it’s a testament to the hard work The Genesis Collective continues to invest in areas surrounding Pittsburgh. After all, creativity has no city bounds.

I actually had the pleasure of public art consulting on this project, so I’m very happy to share what goodness came from it!
