This midterm political year includes a contest for Pennsylvania governor plus state House and Senate races that could change partisan control in one or both chambers of the General Assembly.

State government levies taxes, regulates many areas of economic activity and funds numerous services and programs. As Pittsburgh’s Public Source prepares to cover this year’s political contests, we’re asking you: What should state government focus on across areas of importance to our civic life?

We invite you to suggest as many or as few areas of focus as you’d like in the subject areas below. We won’t publish input received through this survey, but if you provide contact information, we may follow up and ask you for on-record comment.
